I am a PhD candidate in accounting at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with expected graduation in May of 2025.  I also have an MBA from NC State University and an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill.

Prior to pursuing a PhD, I worked in the pharmaceutical/med device industry where I experienced firsthand the inefficiencies in our healthcare system.  My goal as a researcher is to improve the delivery of healthcare in the U.S.  As a managerial accountant, I study how we measure/manage costs and how information can be used to improve decision-making and align incentives in favor of patients.

I have experience teaching managerial accounting at the graduate level.  As a former MBA and MAC student, I am comfortable teaching both managerial and financial accounting at the graduate and undergraduate level.
